Description
Hotel Molengroet is situated in the centre of North-Holland, on the Waterpark Geestmerambacht, 210 hectares with 90 hectares of lakes for recreational activities. For instance, surfing, swimming, jogging, angling or just lazing on the lovely beaches.
Alkmaar (nice shops, famous cheese market), Schagen (West Frisian market) and Broek op Langedijk (auction museum) are all located in the surrounding area, as are characteristic little places as Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen. The North Sea beaches and dunes are also close by: Schoorl, Bergen and Egmond. To Amsterdam it is a mere 40 kilometres. One of the unique services offered by us is our (free) shuttle bus which, during the summer season and every weekend during the whole season runs a schedule to the station, Camperduin beach and the swimmingpool and on Fridays to the famous Cheese Market in Alkmaar (April – September). You can also rent a bike and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Bicycle maps are available in the reception. 
The hotel is provided with 14 spacious rooms for a maximum of 4 persons (2 adults , 2 children) with private WC, bathroom with shower, television, alarm-clock, telephone and private balcony.
Every morning a delicious breakfast is served in a cheerful dining room. The hotel guests of Molengroet can make use of many facilities not available in an ordinary hotel. For example, children can participate in Molengroet’s recreational programme, everyone has access to all the tourist information and everyone is welcome to use our free bus service in the high season. |

A7 direction Amsterdam > Take exit 12 for Middenmeer/Alkmaar (N242) > Follow the signs for Alkmaar to the N245 > Turn left on to the N245 in the direction of Alkmaar > Continue for a further 250 m and then turn right at the junction in the direction of Geestmerambacht/Molengroet - From the south:
A9 from Haarlem > Take the ring road Alkmaar West in the direction of Den Helder/Schagen > Take the right exit for Schagen (N245) > Turn left at the junction in the direction of Geestmerambacht/Molengroet - By Public Transport:
Take the train to Heerhugowaard > Take a train taxi to Molengroet Take the train to Alkmaar Central Station > Take Molengroet’s shuttle bus service (follows a fixed timetable).
