Villa Ruimzicht is a monumental building just outside Doetinchem city centre, situated in an arboretum, a special city estate with monumental trees. Starting point was to restore the national monument into its old grandeur and to create modern catering and contemporary art concepts Doetinchem may be proud of. Fashionable, centrally situated and with historical overtones. Built as a country estate in 1853 Villa Ruimzicht functioned as a boarding-school and school-building in later days. Now it has got a new destination as Art Hotel and Restaurants. Like in former days young men used to live in the old boarding establishment, people will dine, cook and sleep here again as planned from autumn 2007. Villa Ruimzicht is a four-star Art Hotel with 42 spacious rooms in a thematic setting, dependent on the reason of your visit. Once in your room you can even adapt the colouring of the room to your mood! On the ground floor you will find two contemporary food concepts and a cooking studio.
